*SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED*
It’s that time of year again…when we dig our our markers and paint brushes, hunt around for paper, canvases, glue sticks and more. Yes, it’s time for another Bruntsfield Primary Art Auction. At our last Bruntsfield Primary Art Auction two years ago, we raised £2,500 and with your help, amazing talent and creativity we know we can do even better!
The Art Auction will launch with an opening night art exhibition at school on Friday 12 May, 6-8pm, followed by a week long online art auction where you will be able to bid on your favourite artworks. We will update this page with the link to the auction site once it’s up and running. All money raised will go towards helping the school create their new Sensory Room.
HOW TO TAKE PART
Here’s what we need you to do:
We would like you to create and/or donate some fabulous artworks over the next month.
Use any media (preferably 2D) and be ready to drop off your artworks by 21 April. You can hand your artworks in to the office at Bruntsfield Primary School.
With each art work please include:
- Artwork title
- Artist name
- Description (to be displayed alongside artwork)
- Size
For children’s artwork, please also include:
- Age
- Class
- Parent’s contact details
For adult’s artwork, please also include:
- Connection to school (if relevant), e.g. parent, grandparent, teacher
- Contact details
- Website/ social media links (if relevant)
Anyone can enter – child, parent, carer, teacher, friend, neighbour! One of the lovely things about this event is seeing works by children displayed next to work by professional artists. There’s no specific theme, anything goes. So get creating!
If you are a professional artist wishing to donate a painting, or for any further questions, please email [email protected]
We will also be needing volunteers to help at various stages of this event, including helping to preparing all the artworks for the exhibition, photographing and uploading the artworks to the auction website (21 April – 10 May), helping to set up/ take down the exhibition, and helping during the exhibition (12 May), and helping to distribute the artworks after the auction has closed (w/c 22 May). If you can help with any of these, please email [email protected]
