Dear Parents and Carers,
ROAD CLOSURE ON MONTPELIER
We have been advised by the Council that although entry to Montpelier is closed to traffic other than residents, the cones should not be moved to block entry at any time.
PLEASE DO NOT MOVE THE CONES.
We are working with the road safety team and enforcement officers to ensure this area is safe. However, we need to be considerate of the needs of residents to access the street. Please bear with us as we try to work out how we best do this to ensure the safety of our children and ability for parents to socially distance whilst escorting their children to school.
I know many of you have already established walking buses and paired up with other families to reduce congestion. Thank you for doing this. We would also ask, that if you are in the area and you see children walking to school by themselves, please keep an eye out for their safety as you would in any other circumstance.
