Choir 'Flash Mob' on the Tram

Happy Birthday Edinburgh Trams!

The passengers on the 3.30pm westbound tram out of Shandwick Place on Sunday 31st May were in for a surprise as their tram was subject to a #flashmob - thanks to Bruntsfield Primary School’s choir! To celebrate the first anniversary of Edinburgh trams passengers were treated to a round of The Tram Song while the tram glided along Princes Street and into St Andrew Square.

The BPS choir was joined by adult singers from choir tutor Jenny Sterling’s singing groups from Scots Music Group and Stockbridge Colonies Choir and some parents helped with the singing too.

The choir then gave a fun performance of uplifting rounds and songs to finish the afternoon in St Andrew Square while the sun shone.

Jenny would like to thank Edinburgh Trams, St Cuthbert’s Church, Sainsbury’s, Lindsay Anderson, choir parents & helpers and all the singers for making the #flashmob such a success.
